Covet the Intangible

A collaboration with Jerke van den Braak and Krista Burger for the city theater Utrecht.

Behind the windows on ground level 4 video screens are connected to each other, forming one long screen, showing a continues movie for the passengers on the street. The most essential elements of the theater, curtains and smoke, form a composition about building expectation and the longing for revelation. The moving curtain sometimes doesn't seem to end and when it finally does, it leaves the viewer with another concealer: smoke with at time some hints of human silhouettes changing costumes. A play of reaching for the unattainable.
