SOFT MOUNTAINS

An interactive performance developed for young children (age 2-6) as an introduction to creating and experiencing Art. Soft mountains appear as the classrooms furniture and toys are being wrapped up in textiles. The children are invited on a safari through the landscape, we even go inside the mountains where small creatures live. During the tour, the kids use their imagination to translate abstract shapes in to concrete concepts like animals or functional objects. A polaroid remains as a souvenir and memory of the trip.
